Grow up.

I wonder if anyone else gets the feeling that someone they know who scrutinizes "fake, immature" people are actually fake and immature themselves. It's funny, one moment you think they're the most mature, grown up person you know, and the next you're wondering what the hell you were thinking because in reality, they're actually just fucked up in the head and are deceiving themself. Really, it's time to stop caring about teeny boppers and get on with your own life. When someone talks only about how annoying or stupid other people are, you know that there's really something wrong with them. Or how about when you're enjoying a perfectly fine day out with a group of friends, and all they're thinking about is how to impress everyone else, and show them that you're the best. Really? It's like going out with your younger sister or brother, who is actually 10 years old, not an 18-or-something year old acting like a kid who has never had to worry about anything more than how popular they are, or how little pocket money you get compared to anyone else.

Or how about when there's that one person who always thinks that whatever emotions they feel are absolutely real, but the moment someone else begins to describe the same kinds of feelings, they just brush it off like what they're feeling is just something made up by attention seeking whores. So what, they might post it up on their blog, facebook, twitter and whatnot .. It doesn't mean that it's not real. Sometimes the world doesn't seem fair. I don't care whether you give a shit or not, but it feels better to write it down and yes, sometimes it does feel better to get that empathetic response from others. If you don't want to read about heartbreak, hardships, love, or even how crap my day was, well too bad. Chances are, most people will write about those topics (and frequently at that). If you can't handle a lil bit of that, then you're really going to have trouble with bonding, because you know what, conversations aren't just filled with cars, rainbows and butterflies. Growing up doesn't mean ignoring and hiding away your true emotions, or acting wise and intellectual. Growing up definitely doesn't mean you can't have fun (or in other words, be "immature") or do "stupid" things and make mistakes. If growing up did mean what I just said it didn't, then I don't think I ever could grow up, so I'm sorry if that gets in the way of your life, but that's me.
